Planting Churches in The Last Frontier of Mexico

Shawn grew up in Wisconsin while Carolina was born and raised in Mexico. They were married in 2009, and began serving in ministry together at Central Assembly of God in Superior, Wisconsin. Both Shawn and Carolina received a call to serve as missionaries before they met, and later began their missionary journey with Assemblies of God World Missions in 2016.

Shawn is most passionate about seeing the Church grow through preparing, training and equipping believers to do the work of the ministry. Carolina has a passion to teach, and is gifted in communicating the Word of God that is understandable and practical.

They have three children, Keily (Aug. 7), Noah (Sep. 28), and Daniel (Nov. 12).

Shawn and Carolina are serving in an area referred to as The Last Frontier of Mexico. The Last Frontier is home to over 22 million people living in the Mexican states of Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Michoacán, Querétaro and Zacatecas. This geographical area is considered one of the least evangelized in Latin America with less than 2.5% Evangelical Christian.

Shawn and Carolina are involved in training and preparing national church planters in partnership with Distrito Centro. In addition, they're working to plant an upper-middle class church in the city of Aguascalientes.

With God's help and in partnership with the Mexican Church, their dream is to see a disciple-making movement in The Last Frontier that will bring multitudes into relationship with God the Father through faith in Jesus Christ.
