Since the moment we met at a missions college in 2004, we have been dedicated to following God’s call to ministry and to spreading His Gospel around the world.

In 2010, when our three boys were still wee babies, we moved our family to Moldova, in Eastern Europe, to serve for two years as Missionary Associates. There we were blessed to work at a safe home for women who had been victims of human trafficking.

At the end of our term, God surprised us by calling us into the ministry of pastoring, so we moved back to Minnesota, to a tiny rural town, where Patrick became the lead pastor at Vibrant Life Assembly of God church. Our family, too, has grown, as both our daughters were born during this time.

Though we have loved serving at the church in Minnesota, we have always known that God would one day call us back into overseas missions and we are thrilled that the time is now! God has been filling our hearts with a passion and love for the country and people of Japan, a nation that appears to be thriving by worldly standards, but which is in almost total spiritual darkness. Of the more than 125 million people in Japan, less than one percent are Christians. It breaks our hearts to know that so many millions of people are living their lives without ever hearing the name of Jesus.

Our mission is to be a light into that spiritual darkness. We are making plans to move our whole family (yes, all seven of us!) to Osaka, Japan - a city of over 20 million people - where we plan to share the Gospel and begin a church planting movement to bring the salvation of Christ to this lost nation.

Please join us in prayer as we embark on our journey of raising support in the midst of a global pandemic and economic downturn. We know that God has a great love for the people of Japan and that not even these epic crises will stop Him from bringing his Gospel to his children.
