Serving in Southeast Europe, Europe

Account #2914372

Steve and Deanne Turley have served faithfully for over 30 years as AGWM missionaries in Europe, furthering the mission to establish the Church among all peoples everywhere.

In January 2022 Steve began serving in AGWM Partnership Development as U.S. Relations lead—a frontline liaison role to U.S. churches, districts/networks, and supporters designed to increase the missions-sending capacity of the local church through advocacy and resources. Deanne serves as project coordinator for Missiological Resources, a new initiative within Partnership Development.

The Turleys’ missionary service began in January 1991 with International Media Ministries in Brussels, Belgium, producing radio and television programs for Europe, Africa, and Asia. In 1999 they transitioned to university ministry and co-launched Students for Christ Belgium, which has grown to hundreds of current students and alumni spreading the gospel on the country’s secular campuses. The Turleys continued developing and training student leaders while assisting the Europe regional director with special projects from 2012 through 2016. In 2018 they began serving in Zagreb, Croatia, bringing the hope of Christ to the Balkans, one of Europe’s most challenging and least-served areas.

In addition to their roles in AGWM Partnership Development, the Turleys continue to serve as appointed AGWM missionaries for Europe campus ministry and the Croatia field team.

Steve and Deanne have three children—Rachel (husband Adam), Bethany (husband Caleb), and Luke (wife Tricia)—and six grandchildren.
