Serving in Spain, Europe

Meet the Weatherly Family

We’re Adam, Bethany, Caleb, and Samuel, serving as missionaries in Spain! Our journey began in Oklahoma and West Africa, and God has called us to share His love with the people of Spain. With backgrounds in ministry and media, we’re passionate about Reaching the Lost, Training the Found, and Creating Resources, all to spread the Gospel.

Our Calling to Spain

Spain’s secularism has left less than 1% of its population as evangelical Christians. While officially Catholic, most Spaniards are atheists, agnostics, or from other faiths. God stirred our hearts through a powerful question: "Would people even notice if the rapture happened today?" This urgency has led us to join Global University España (Spain), equipping church leaders to serve throughout Spain, Europe, and beyond.

Why We Need You

As missionaries, we rely on the generosity of others to make our work possible. With Spain’s deep need for trained pastors, we’re partnering with Global University España to reach areas where traditional education cannot.

How You Can Partner with Us

We can’t do this alone. Here’s how you can make a difference:
  • Pray: Cover our ministry in prayer.
  • Give: Partner with us financially through monthly or one-time gifts.
  • Share: Follow and share our journey on social media.
  • Stay Connected: Subscribe to our newsletter for updates.
Your support will impact lives and transform communities. Will you join us on this mission? Together, we can bring hope to Spain.

Dear Friends and Partners,

We want to give you a small glimpse into what God has been doing here in Spain.

A few months ago, we were invited to a church in central Madrid to represent Global University at a very special graduation. Members of the church had completed courses in Evangelism & Discipleship, and others had finished the Christian Leadership program. It was a beautiful celebration of faithful, everyday believers who had committed themselves to grow.

During the ceremony, the pastor shared something that deeply impacted us:
“Before we can make disciples, we must be willing to be disciples.” What a powerful truth.

How can we fulfill Jesus’ command to make disciples if we ourselves are unwilling to be discipled?

This is exactly where Global University comes in. Here in Spain, church planters and pastors are using these courses to equip their congregations with strong biblical foundations and practical ministry training. Lay leaders are being raised up. New believers are growing in confidence. Churches are becoming healthier and stronger.

And here’s the exciting part: this pastor is intentionally training leaders so he can hand over responsibility and plant another church soon. This is multiplication in action.

We are so grateful to serve in a ministry that disciples new believers, strengthens leaders, and empowers church planters to release and plant again. You are part of this story.

It’s hard to believe, but we have now been in Spain just shy of four years this term. As much as we love the ministry here, it is time for us to return to the United States to reconnect with you.

Beginning in July, we will be traveling across the U.S., sharing more stories of what God is doing through Global University and the Christian school we partner with here in Madrid. We are excited to reconnect, encourage, and inspire others toward the calling God has placed on their lives.

Over the next year, we will also be raising funds to return to Spain for our next term. Our goal is to schedule as many appointments as possible while we are in the States — with churches, small groups, and individuals who want to hear more about the work and pray about partnering with us.

If you would be willing to host us, schedule a meeting, or help us connect with others in your church, we would be so grateful. Your partnership makes multiplication possible.

Thank you for standing with us. The harvest here is real. Leaders are being raised. Churches are growing. And together, we get to be part of it.

With love and gratitude,

Adam, Bethany, Caleb and Samuel Weatherly

This summer, our family took a trip I’ve dreamed of for years: a return to my childhood home in Togo, West Africa. It was a joy to introduce my children to the people and places that shaped me, but I was most moved by seeing how God is powerfully at work in the Togolese church. This journey was a beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness, and it fueled my prayers for the church here in Spain.

The late-night concerts in Camarma are a huge community event. For me, they're also a ministry opportunity. I share how my camera becomes a bridge to connect with our neighbors, and why I believe so strongly in being present, even when it means staying up late.

The bull runs in Camarma de Esteruelas are an intense mix of adrenaline, tradition, and organized chaos. I spent the weekend with my camera in the middle of the action, but beyond the thrill, I was struck by a powerful thought about what our community could be if this same passion was directed toward faith.
