Hello everyone!

My name is Maribel Vega and I am from South Florida. I am blessed to share with you just a small piece of my story and why I am going to Barcelona, Spain. thank you for reading! 

A little about me and my story:

God has given me a deep burden for kids and families in the nations. I grew up Catholic until in middle school a friend in class passed me an invite card to the youth ministry. For about 7 years my friend and her mom faithfully took me to service on Wednesdays nights. However, during this time I did not have a deep relationship with Jesus yet. I fell into a deep depression in my Junior year of high school & by Senior year I was physically abusing myself. One night near the end of my senior year my same friend, through those 7 years, encouraged me to come to that nights revival service. I told my friend "I've been to the altar many times nothing in my life had changed!" After refusing, being dragged by my mom and walking into the church with headphones on...God met me. In a way I had never knew Him to be. Jesus met me at the lowest I had ever been. Jesus affirmed me first of His love for me as my Heavenly Father and then told me He wanted to save me if I let Him. If I trusted Him. If I believed and gave everything to Him. Then He called me to Southeastern University and to do missions.

I remember feeling this was impossible to go to SEU and missions at where I was in my life spiritually, physically and mentally. However, that didn't scare God. Truly ever since that moment He kept His promises for ALL those things. He saved my family. He saved me. I graduated from Southeastern University and now I get to share this power of His love that is available to every child and family all over the nations! All for His glory.

The opportunity in Spain:

There is an opportunity to serve alongside the kids ministry at The International Church of Barcelona (ICB). I have been serving here in South Florida kids ministry for 3 years now and have seen kids set free, filled with the Holy Spirit and experiecing a authentic relationship with Jesus. There is a need for someone to come alongside the volunteers currently in ICB to elevate the kids and families to know Jesus. This has never before happened in Spain. Barcelona use to be under dictatorship by Francoist who killed and tortured Catalonians who did not believe in Catholism. Right now, revival is happening that has never ever happened before in Spain where people are truly experiencing the love of God-the true love of God Jesus always intended for us. You and I get to be apart of this beautiful movement as Christ messengers of Hope. 

How can you be apart of this?:

In order for me to go to Spain for 2 years I have a cash budget to get there to raise and a monthly budget to stay in Spain. I believe whatever amount God puts on your heart will be for these kids in Spain. To not loose the true Jesus who loves them and not what this world is trying to feed them. Would you come alongside me to be the hands and feet of God together?
